We are seeking dedicated, fun individuals to join our specialised care team. Delivering complex health care and respite to families across the Merseyside region.

Job Description

We are looking for empathetic, dedicated Children’s Complex Health Care Staff who are able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week to support children in the community to allow their parent a well-earned rest.

Core Hours: Must be available

06:00 – 09:00 : Mornings 

15:30 – 22:00 : Evenings

Weekends 1 in 3 min

Additional Hours Available

School 1:1 – 08:00 – 16:00

20:00 – 08:00 : Waking Nights

Weekends and school holidays extra hours.

 

We promise to give you state of the art training to meet the needs of the children you will care for and to promote your confidence and build your essential skills. With ongoing mentorship, supervision and training.

What will you be asked to do?

  • Complete and pass the initial 4 day induction training (Tuesday – Friday in Bolton, 09:00 – 17:30)
  • Complete online and further cassroom training as required
  • Attend family homes across the region via own car.
  • Professional carers will provide play, support and care to children aged 0-19 who have a complex health issues which include a feeding issue or a cardiac condition. This will include changing nappies or carrying out toileting / personal care routines, possible medication administration and tube feed and other clinical skills – don’t worry full training is given.
  • Expense claims paid for travel between visits.

You must be able to confirm the following;

  • hold a driving license,
  • have a car
  • have business use on your policy by your start date. Evidence of this, along with MOT and Tax details will also be required, due to the nature of the job.
  • able to provide an Enhanced DBS and confirm it is on the update system before commencing employment with us. (We can provide this)
  • Be able to work within our core hours
