Hours: 37.5 hours
Holiday Entitlement: 30 days (including bank holidays)
On Call: Participation in weekly on-call rota required

Job Description
We provide practical care and support to families with children who have complex health needs, helping them remain safely at home. To continue delivering outstanding care, we are looking for an Enhanced Senior Care Worker who can combine excellent clinical skills with leadership, mentorship, and operational support within our care team.

The Role (AKA: What You’ll Be Brilliant At)
As an Enhanced Senior Carer, you will play an important leadership role within the care team. You will deliver complex care to children with advanced clinical needs while supporting and mentoring other carers to maintain consistently high standards of care.
You will also work closely with the Care Coordinator and senior leadership, helping ensure care packages run smoothly and families receive reliable, high-quality support.
You will:
- Deliver complex care to children with significant health needs
- Lead by example in professionalism, communication and family engagement
- Mentor and support Band 1–3 carers in developing their skills
- Provide guidance during challenging care situations
- Support rota coordination and day-to-day operational stability when required
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with care standards
- Escalate clinical or safeguarding concerns appropriately
- Support a positive, professional and supportive team culture
ESSENTIAL Criteria
You must have ALL of the following:
Qualifications
- Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Up-to-date clinical competency sign-offs including medication administration
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years experience in care, including complex needs
- Experience delivering advanced clinical care such as:
- Tracheostomy care
- Enteral feeding (PEG/JEG/NG)
- Oxygen therapy management
- Oral or nasal suctioning
- Stoma care
- TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition)
- Experience mentoring or supporting other carers
- Proven reliability, professionalism, and strong attendance
Skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Excellent communication with families, colleagues and management
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions in challenging or emergency situations
- Strong safeguarding awareness and documentation skills
- Ability to problem solve clinical or operational challenges

Additional Requirements
Driving Licence: Essential
You will travel to families and team members across the region.
On-Call Requirement:
