Job Description
Lagan’s Foundation are looking for volunteers to support us with running our Jungle Club in Manchester and/or Bolton
If you enjoy a morning cuppa and want to be part of a lovely, relaxing socialising event which is dedicated to parents of children with complex health conditions, Join us!
These coffee mornings would take place in Bolton or Manchester once a month and are open for 2 hours each session. We also allow 30 mins either side for set up and breaking down and cleaning.
What will you be asked to do?
- Commit at least 4 hours a month
- Attend and pass initial induction training as required – 4 full days Monday to Friday
- Complete Online and Classroom training as required – to learn how to run the Jungle Club.
- Arrange special visitor activity for each session.
- Contact families to encourage attendance.
- Arrange future dates and times for sessions.
- Set up and break down sessions & clean. (30 mins either side of the session)
- Attend and support our monthly family meetup to create a welcoming and positive environment for parents to relax and socialise.
- Engage with families make tea/coffee and provide refreshments to our families.
- Manage the Club Budget
- Gather feedback from families
- Train new and existing volunteers
- Provide support to volunteers
- Liaise with the Business Development and Stewardship Department and Area Care Hub.

Mentoring and learning would be provided as per requirements.

You must be able to confirm the following;
- 2 references
- able to complete or provide a Enhanced DBS and confirm it is on the update system before commencing volunteering with us.
- Be able to attend Induction training
- Be able to commit 4 hours a month on an ongoing basis
