Lancashire Care Hub

In 2025 we were thrilled to be awarded £20,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund, allowing us to launch our brand-new Lancashire Care Hub – a supportive community space for families of children with complex health needs.

Over the next 12 months, we will be organising free monthly events for parents of children with complex health needs to come together for coffee & play. Our highly trained carers will be on hand at each session to ensure that your child is fully supported whilst you take a well-earned break.

Sensation Gym, Accrington - Sunday 26th April, 2:30 - 3:30 PM

Join us at Sensation Gym in Accrington (43a Market St, BB5 0DP), a specialist sensory play gym designed for children aged 0–14, with a strong focus on supporting children with SEND while remaining inclusive for all families. The gym offers a safe, engaging environment that encourages sensory exploration through carefully designed play equipment and activities. Sessions are relaxed and small-group, creating a calm and welcoming space where children can play at their own pace. Our highly trained carers will also be on hand throughout the session to fully support your child, giving you the opportunity to step back, relax and enjoy a well-earned break.

Charter House, Burnley - Saturday 30th May, 11:30 - 3:00 PM

Come along to Charter House and dive into the benefits of their hydrotherapy pool. Parents are welcome to swim with their child, whilst our highly trained carers will be on hand to provide support in the water. There are three sessions available from 11:30 – 3:00pm, giving you the option to choose what suits you best.

Hidden Forest Adventures, Skelmersdale - Sunday 14th June, 11:00 - 2:00 PM

Hidden Forest Adventures (Beacon Country Park, Skelmersdale, WN8 7RU) is an outdoor, activity-based experience dedicated to inspiring both young people and adults to reconnect with the natural world. As a small, family-run business, they place nature, community and wellbeing at the heart of everything.

The session will include creating journey stick or wands, decorating log slices, use of their hammocks, portable mud kitchen and a scavenger hunt.

Our highly trained carers and their experienced staff will also be on hand throughout the session to fully support your child, giving you the opportunity to step back, relax and enjoy a well-earned break while knowing your child is in safe, capable hands.

Anderton Centre, Chorley - Sunday 5th July, 1:00 - 4:00 PM

Join us at the Anderton Centre in Chorley (New Rd, PR6 9HG), an outdoor activity venue offering exciting and accessible experiences for children and young people. The centre provides a safe and engaging environment through a range of outdoor and adventure-based activities. Please note that the centre has a minimum age of six, and any younger children sadly cannot attend. Our highly trained carers will also be on hand throughout the session to fully support your child, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a well-earned break while knowing your child is in safe, capable hands.
