Lancashire Care Hub

Lancashire Care Hub

In 2025 we were thrilled to be awarded £20,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund, allowing us to launch our brand-new Lancashire Care Hub – a supportive community space for families of children with complex health needs.

Over the next 12 months, we will be organising free monthly events for parents of children with complex health needs to come together for coffee & play. Our highly trained carers will be on hand at each session to ensure that your child is fully supported whilst you take a well-earned break.

As we grow into Lancashire, our mission remains clear:

  • Bring families together
  • Showcase who we are and what we do
  • Let parents know they are never alone

We will also be inviting speakers to come along to the sessions following feedback from parents on a variety of issues including finance, specialist training, mindfulness and more.

Don’t forget, you can join the Lancashire Care Hub group on Facebook.

If you know of any suitable venues or activities, please get in touch at Events@lagans.org.uk or call us at 01204 800300 (Option 2).

We’re incredibly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for making this project possible, and to everyone who continues to support our mission. Together, we’re working to create lasting change for children and families across Lancashire.

The first Lancashire Care Hub event was held at Twinkle House in Skelmersdale, welcoming several families for a relaxed and fully accessible session. Children had a fantastic time exploring the space and enjoying playtime, supported by our carers, whose help made the session engaging and fun for everyone. Families also valued the opportunity to relax, enjoy some well-deserved time out, and connect with others who share similar experiences.
